The Wake Up Call
The Wake Up Call
[Intro]
Most of us never know the day,
when our last breath will come.
That fateful day, when we never awake,
to see the rising sun.
[Verse]
Some are given an early warning
of their imminent demise.
The prevarication of immortality
makiing them open up their eyes.
[Chorus]
A sudden jolt of reality,
can make even the greatest, feel so small.
Facing imminent death is nature’s way
of giving us a wake up call.
[Verse]
When you’re young, you never think,
death is waiting around the bend.
The long straight shore of youthful optimism,
never seems to end.
Faced with facts, our fragile ego’s shatter
into a million tiny pieces.
The dreams we built come crashing down,
the worry never ceases.
{Verse]
A sudden jolt of reality, can make even the greatest,
feel so small.
Facing imminent death is nature’s way
of giving us a wake up call.
