Seeds
[Intro]
A tree does not eat its own fruit
A river does not drink its own water
What grows in silence
Eventually becomes nourishment for others
[Verse]
A seed falls into darkness
Buried beneath the ground
No applause
No audience
No trumpet sound
Just pressure
Time
Rain
And hidden roots below
The world above keeps moving
Unaware of what will grow
[Pre-Chorus]
Every living thing
Carries more than itself
Inside the fruit
Another beginning waits
[Chorus]
The fruit contains the seeds
And the seeds become the forest
Passed from hand to hand
Heart to heart
What was learned through suffering
Becomes nourishment for others
That is how coherence spreads
That is propagation
[Interlude]
[Verse]
Some people seek attention
Others cultivate the field
One produces performance
The other learns to yield
Because life does not expand
Through force alone
But through resonance
Participation
And the longing to return home
[Pre-Chorus]
The sweetest fruit
Is rarely hurried
Roots deepen first
Before branches touch the sky
[Chorus]
The fruit contains the seeds
And the seeds become the forest
Carried by the wind
Across the earth
What was forged through pressure
Becomes shelter for another
That is how living systems
Continue beyond themselves
[Bridge]
Not control
Not coercion
Not chains
But attraction
Nourishment
And recognition
[Chorus]
The fruit contains the seeds
And the seeds become the future
Every act of genuine love
Leaves something living behind
The tree gives without speaking
The river flows without pride
And somewhere inside the fruit
Another garden waits alive
[Outro]
A tree does not eat its own fruit
A river does not drink its own water
Perhaps the purpose of life
Was always propagation.
