Ships in the Night
[Intro]
[Verse]
Sometimes this hard road
Seems to bring me down
And sometimes I think of you
And it turns me round
[Refrain]
While passing strangers trade the night
An imprisoned king, ransomed to life
Sees nothing but the dark of day
Turn into light
[Verse]
Sometimes the moonlight
Seems to catch your eyes
Sometimes the silence
Feels too deep inside
[Refrain]
While passing strangers trade the night
An imprisoned king, ransomed to life
Sees nothing but the dark of day
Turn into light
[Interlude]
[Verse]
Sometimes it’s hard
The lonely hour before the dawn
And sometimes you strike the lightning
From my storm
[Refrain]
While passing strangers trade the night
An imprisoned king, ransomed to life
Sees nothing but the dark of day
Turn into light
[Outro]
Turn into light...
Turn into light...

This is one of my earliest songs written in the early 1980's. It's a simple song but I liked it enough to record. While it isn't the best song I have ever written it's still a nice reminder of those early days of making music.
